The workers poured the concrete this past Tuesday and it's been curing all week. It's squared off at the far end because of the posts from the deck, but I thought a nice rounded corner would be cool here on the other end. We had the concrete poured to make sure we wouldn't have so much rock movement over the years, which is what happened to the original pavers. I'm thinking smooooove, baby.
Yesterday, our guys stopped by and brought by the New Mexico Buff sandstone that we picked out for the main patio rock. Everyone around here has the Colorado Red sandstone and of course, I want to be different. It's more expensive, but I figure it's going to be a lot less hot on the feetsies in the summer and it will provide more contrast for the border rock I picked out, which is really, really, really cool. At least I think so. Want to see it?
Ta-da! It's called Pennsylvania Blue.
It will go with the house, yes?

3 players in the box:
Ooh, home improvement. I can't wait to see the finished patio.
This is going to look fantastic!
I hope you got the homeowner's association to approve that rock, sister.
